Shabbir Bambot, PhD

Chief Executive Officer

Shabbir is the Co-Founder and CEO of Fischer Imaging.  Shabbir joined the team to spearhead development of the MammoCAT™-D and MammoCAT™-3D systems.

Prior to this, Shabbir was a serial entrepreneur and founded multiple medical device companies in the cancer diagnosis and imaging space.   He was the co-founder and CTO for LumaMed, LLC and Guided Therapeutics, Inc.  Shabbir has successfully received over $6M in NIH grants and is named on 11 patents.

Shabbir received his PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh.


Wes Rogers

Chief Operating Officer

Wes is the Co-Founder and COO of Fischer Imaging.  He is the owner of two medical device companies: Fischer Medical and Surgery Dynamics, Inc.  Wes began his career at a family-owned medical device company which was acquired by Medtronic.  After six more years at Medtronic, he continued on in progressive leadership roles at other device companies for the following decade.  In 2015, he acquired Fischer Medical.  Wes took on the role of President & CEO, restructuring the company, moving the manufacturing facility, investing heavily in R&D  and turning around the company to achieve profitability in Year 1.

Wes attended The College of William & Mary and received his BSM in Management from Tulane University.

Mike Tesic – Chief Technology Officer

Expert in x-ray imaging, digital mammography, and electro-mechanical systems with 30+ years of experience. 17 issued patents. Previously with Picker, Fischer and Delphinus.  Mike is the father of the Senoscan slot scanning mammography system originally marketed by Fischer.


Alan Klevens – Advisor

Medical device expert with 40 years of experience in product development, global commercialization & marketing of devices for x-ray mammography, lithotripsy and video capsule endoscopy. Two successful exits from start-ups.


Dr. Ioannis Sechopoulos – Advisor

Dr. Sechopoulos is on faculty at Radboud Institute of Health Sciences.  He is widely known for his research in breast tomosynthesis and advanced x-ray based imaging techniques for cancer detection, diagnosis and therapy response monitoring.
